Judy Garland is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential musical stars of all time. Judy Garland was an American actress and singer who starred in many musical films, such as The Wizard of Oz, Meet Me in St. Louis, and A Star Is Born. She had a powerful and expressive voice, and was known for her emotional and dramatic performances. 
 
In Babes on Broadway, Judy appreciated working with her friend Mickey Rooney and showcasing her talents and versatility in various musical numbers and impersonations. Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney had a close childhood friendship, as they were both young performers who worked for MGM Studios and attended the same on-lot schoolhouse. They remained friends until Garland’s death in 1969, and Rooney called her “the greatest talent I ever worked with”.
